Mission Statement

Gibson Elementary School believes that all students can

learn; therefore, our mission is to place a priority on student

learning to enable them to become confident, self-directed,

lifelong learners.

The chief priority of our school is to maximize student learning.

Students learn best when they are actively engaged in learning.

Teachers, administrators, parents and community share the responsibility for implanting the school's mission.

Our students are valued individuals from diverse

cultural backgrounds who have unique physical, social,

emotional and intellectual needs they must be met.

Students learn in different ways and should be provided with a variety of instructional approaches.

Curriculum and instructional practices should encompass a variety of learning activities to accommodate different learning styles and individual needs.

The commitment to continuous improvement is imperative for
