Mission/Vision

Our vision at Avondale School of Fine Arts is to provide a rich, supportive, collaborative learning environment that is respectful of individual differences and that encourages students to reach their academic and creative potential as responsible learners.
 
 
 
   Student learning is the primary focus of our school because we believe all children can learn.  Students learn in different ways and should be provided with a variety of instructional approaches to help them reach their fullest potential.  Students learn best when they have appropriate opportunities for success and utilize higher order thinking skills.  Exceptional students require special services and resources.  A safe and comfortable school environment enhances learning.  Understanding cultural diversity enriches students' and staff's appreciation of different cultures.  Teachers, administrators, parents, students, and the community share the responsiblitiy of advancing the school's vision.  The commitment to continuous improvement is essential for our school to nurture confident and self-directed learners.  Technology is necessary to improve learning and prepare students for the future.  The arts at Avondale are valued as an essential part of student learning.
