Hello parents,

My name is Joycelyn Whatley and I am the choir director at Wenonah High School. This year, I began my 20^th year here at the Dragon’s Lair and I am extremely excited for another year. I have lived here in Birmingham my entire life. I graduated from Parkway Christian Academy, University of Alabama at Birmingham (B. S. in Music Education) and most recently (2017) received my Master’s degree in Theatre from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA.

Singing and teaching choir is my passion. I truly love to work with young people who have a passion for music, especially singing. I love music so much that I spend my leisure time ministering in music at a church, performing musical theatre and singing in a band.
