Presently, I am the Second Grade Teacher at Robinson Elementary School.  During my career as an educator, I have been employed with the Birmingham City Schools for over thirty years.  I have been teaching second grade over twenty years.  As you can tell, my passion for teaching revolves around second grade because it offers the opportunity to teach a wide range of subjects to students in the early childhood stage of development.  I enjoy working with second grade.  It plays a vital part in students' development.  I enjoy setting the stage for learning, fostering confidence and helping them to grasp basic concepts like reading.  Second grade involves a lot of interactive learning with games, visual aids, music and other tools to keep students engaged and challenged.   

I am a highly qualified teacher with a B.S. and M.A. Degree in Elementary Education.  I have an ED.S in Teacher Leadership.
