Troubleshooting & Care for the Promethean Board
When powering on the board, aim the remote directly at the projector and press the power button.
If there is no activity, the batteries may need replacing. Look for the flashing green light for power.

that the board needs to be calibrated. Hold the pen over the flame until it turns blue then place the nibdirectly in the middle of each cross hair.
RedFlame — If the flame on the promethean board is red, this indicates that the board and computer are not communicating. Make sure all USB cables from the promethean board and the ActiView are pushed tightly into the computer. To troubleshoot, unplug the USB cables from the computer to the board then wait 30 seconds and re-plug. If the board is not receiving power, check the power chords.Pens– Please treat your pens with care. They will easily break when dropped or stepped on. If the pens are not working, unplug the USB that connects the computer with the board then wait 30 seconds and plug it back into the computer. If this doesn't help contact your technology coordinator.Cleaning - Do not use abrasive powders, soap, detergents or solvents on the promethean board’s surface. The board can be cleaned with a baby wipe or lightly dusted with a Swiffer duster.DO NOT USE DRY ERASE MARKERS OR ANY OTHER WRITING UTENSILS ON THE PROMETHEAN BOARD.DO NOT TAPE OR STICK OBJECTS TO THE BOARD.
When absent, please be sure to secure all pens, keys and remotes for the Promethean board.If a problem still exists after troubleshooting, inform the technology coordinator.
