Calibrating the Board— If the pen is not in the location on the board where you place it, this means
    that the board needs
to be calibrated. Hold the pen over the flame until it turns blue then place the nib
directly in the middle of each cross hair.

     Flame

RedFlame — If the flame on the promethean board is red, this indicates that the board and computer are not communicating. Make sure all USB cables from the promethean board and the ActiView are pushed tightly into the computer. To troubleshoot, unplug the USB cables from the computer to the board then wait 30 seconds and re-plug. If the board is not receiving power, check the power chords.

Projector– When turning on the projector, the lights will flash gold then turn blue or green. If the image on the board is distorted, check the blue VGA cable to make sure it is screwed in tightly. If the projector light appears red, this means that the lamp is blown and needs to be replaced.

Pens– Please treat your pens with care. They will easily break when dropped or stepped on. If the pens are not working, unplug the USB that connects the computer with the board then wait 30 seconds and plug it back into the computer. If this doesn't help contact your technology coordinator.

Cleaning - Do not use abrasive powders, soap, detergents or solvents on the promethean board’s surface. The board can be cleaned with a baby wipe or lightly dusted with a Swiffer duster.

DO NOT USE DRY ERASE MARKERS OR ANY OTHER WRITING UTENSILS ON THE PROMETHEAN BOARD.

DO NOT TAPE OR STICK OBJECTS TO THE BOARD.

When absent, please be sure to secure all pens, keys and remotes for the Promethean board.

If a problem still exists after troubleshooting, inform the technology coordinator.
