I began my journey in education in 1996. I started out working in the daycare system. From there I decided to attend UAB and get my Bachlor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I graduated in December of 2000. This allowed me to work in the school system. I began my teaching career in Atlanta, GA in January of 2001. After working a couple of years I decided to attend Graduate School and I received my Master's Degree in Administration in Educational Leadership.
During my teaching career I've been able to teach in various grades; kindergarten, first, second, third, and fifth. So far my favorite grade to teach is 3rd grade. I enjoy my students, love my job, connect with the parents, and communicate with administration. This will be my 4th year teaching 3rd grade students at Robinson and I'm looking forward to many more years teaching. I've been teaching for a total of 20 years and wouldn't feel comfortable doing anything else."Intelligence plus character that is the goal of true education"
