    Question: School won't start until August, so why can't I wait to register then?
     
    Answer: To better serve parents/guardians and our 24,000 students, we strongly encourage everyone to register early so that we may better serve you and help get your children ready for a productive school year.
     
     
    Question: I don't have a computer,  How do I register my child?
     
    Answer: Schools will announce certain days when they will provide computer lab assistance at their locations. Please check with your school and ask about days and times.  
     

     
    Question: May I do online registration on my cell phone or iPad?
     
    Answer: Yes. You may register with any device that has an internet connection.
     

     
    Question: I'm still having trouble with online registration. What do I need to do?
     
    Answer:  Please email reghelp@bhm.k12.al.us for assistance.

    Call your child's school from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday - Friday.
     

     
    Question: What type of school supplies will my child need for the fall?
     
    Answer: Please check with your child's school for a list.  
     

     
    Question: Will there be a registration fee for my child?
     
    Answer: Different schools have different registration fees. Please check with your school.  There is no cost to do the online registration (see What if I miss the registration deadlines .. below).
     

     

    Question: When do I register my child if I wish to request a Transfer?

     

    Answer:  Parents who request a "Transfer" (including current transfer students who must apply for a transfer yearly) must register during the last week of July, if approved. 

     

    Rationale: We must ensure that we do not create overcrowded classrooms or schools.  Zoned students must have first priority.

     

     

    Question: What if I miss the registration deadlines?
     

    Answer: Current BCS students must register during the specified timelines.
