Greetings and Salutations!!!!!My name is Kymberly Bennett-Edwards and I am a "Highly Qualified" educator in the state of Alabama. I am a proud Cum Laude graduate of Miles College, home of the "Golden Bears". I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Child Development and also Bachelor of Science Degrees in both Early Childhood and Elementary Education. This year will mark my nineteenth year of teaching with most of those years in the Private and Catholic school systems. Teaching is my passion and always have been. I am the proud parent of two children; a beautiful daughter (MiMi) and a handsome son (Jay) who are the joys of my life. I am also grandmother (GiGi) to the best grandkids in the world....Princeton Amir and Dru Alyse. Other than spending time with my family and friends, I love to cook, read, write, shop, shop, shop and shop some more!! :) I am a member of the New Bethlehem Baptist church in Bessemer, Alabama. I am also a member of Kappa Delta Pi Alumni Association, the Miles College Alumni Association and the Alabama Education Association. I am the dance sponsor for the Bush Hills Academy Dancing Hawks dance team, founder and sponsor of the Bush Hills Academy's L.O.V.E. Project, a mentoring group for girls, which stands for Ladies Of Value & Excellence, and I am super excited about starting a Science club this year. I was recently honored as a "Woman of Excellence" by the members of the Birmingham Metropolitan Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women.
