    Deuteronomy 3:16

" Be Strong and courageous; don't be terrified or afraid of them. For the Lord your God is the one who will go with you; he will not leave you or abandon you."

First, I would like to thank God for a blessed season. We started with nothing and received so much this year. Secondly, I would like to thank those individuals who contributed to the team:                                                        Dr. Donna Mitchell, who spirit packs for the players.  Sebastin Bass and Soneaqua Wedgeworth, who purchased shoes and cleats for the ladies. Daniel Carlisle and the Lady Carver Rams, who purchased uniforms for the team.                                A heartfelt, Thank You!

This has been a very amazing year for the Lady Panthers. We started short handed but ended the year with enough players for the season.

Lady Panthers faced Phillips Lady Lions twice in the regular season losing both times. In the fist meeting we lost 5-1 and in the second meeting we lost 2-0.  The Lady Panthers met the Wilkerson Lady Wildcats twice in the regular season losing 1-0 both times.

Through prayer and hard work, the Lady Panthers made it to the tournament for the sixth consecutive year.
We had to play Phillips Lady Lions for a bid in the championship game. It was a very tough game but we held strong. This game went into double overtime and the score was still 0-0. This meant that we hade to go to penalty kicks; five players from each team would have the opportunity to kick at the goal against the goalkeeper. The Panthers five players were:Kylie sparks, Zykira Marbury, Jalen Henley , Tamia Muse and Keana Taylor; our goal keepers was Brittany Jefferson.

Brittany blocked all the players shots and Kiana, Tamia, Jalen and Zykira made their shots which meant that Kylie didn't have to kick. Therefore the Lady Panthers defeated the Phillip Lady Lions 4-1 and sealed their sixth consecutive visit to the championship game.

The Lady Panthers had to play the Wilkerson Lady Wildcats in te Championship Game. This was a very tough game that also went into double overtime. The Lady Panthers was faced with penalty kicks but only made one and Wilkerson made three of theirs. Thus leaving the Lady Panthers as Runners Up for the City Championship Tournament.

In six years, the Panthers has brought nine trophies to the school:                                                                          3 regular season First Place Trophies                                                                                                                     2 Tournament Championship                                                                                                                                 4 Tournament Runner-up Trophies

Zykira Marbury, Tamia Muse and Kiana Taylor were the only returning players for this year.

The other players were first time players. This was the first time they had ever played in any sport. They were major contributors. Kylie Sparks scored 4 goals for the season. Karma Jefferson and Jalen Henley both scored 1 goal for the season.

"As a team this one was the best defense team that I have coached in the six years of coaching soccer"                       says Coach Barlow.

Congratulations to the Lady Panthers for a winning season.
