  • All About Ms. Jackson

I was born and raised on the west side of Birmingham. I am the youngest of four siblings. I have eighteen nieces and nephews, 4 godchildren, and 2 dogs.

I am a product of the Birmingham City School System. After I graduated from Jackson-Olin High School I moved to Nashville, Tennessee and finished school at Tennessee State University. I am a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity for Women, and the Alabama Education Associaton.

My personal ministry is working with children, especially those interested in fine arts. In my spare time, I travel to mentor youth in Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia, using my gifts and talents to prepare them for college and adult life. I am a clarinetist in the Birmingham Wind Ensemble, and I teach music private music lessons. When I am not working with the students at Jones Valley, I run a dance studio for beginning ballerinas with one of my best friends/sisters.

To know me is to love me. I'm far from a perfect person, but I live my life with laughter and love, always focused on my goals and my legacy.

This is my 4th year at Jones Valley Middle School. I coach the Lady Dragons Softball Team and advise our school’s Jr. Civitan Club. I've enjoy every moment and look forward to working with students at Jones Valley for years to come!
