Jones Valley Middle School Counseling Department Mission Statement

The mission of the Jones Valley Middle School (JVMS) Comprehensive School Counseling Program is to pursue academic, career and social/emotional excellence for ALL students in a safe and nurturing learning environment.  JVMS counselors collaborate with stakeholders and advocate for students by providing an equitable program that is accessible to all students. JVMS Counseling Program assists students in developing academic, career, and social/emotional skills by implementing data-driven interventions and removing any barriers that impede student success.  JVMS counselors are leaders who prepare students to be resilient, lifelong learners with strong character.

Counseling Department Introduction

The Comprehensive School Counseling Program at Jones Valley Middle School serves as an integral part of the educational process in the school and is accessible to all students.  The counseling program consists of various activities that address and meet students’ various educational and developmental needs.  The Comprehensive Counseling Program is designed after a careful data analysis in order to meet specific student needs, desired achievement goals, and other related data.
