Mrs. Shandria Langford-Evans
3rd Grade Teacher
Mrs. Evans is an alumna of McAdory High School, where she was an active member of the National Honors Society and Scholar's Bowl Team. She graduated from Lawson State Community College in 2010 with an Associates Degree in Biology. She also graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2013 with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood/ Elementary Education. She was on the Dean's List and President's List several times at both schools.
Mrs. Evans has worked at several childhood development centers and summer camps throughout her career. She has also volunteered at several child facilities, such as the UCP of Greater Birmingham, Ronald McDonald House, and Mitchell's Place. Mrs. Evans started working at Westhills Elementary in 2013, where she taught Kindergarten from 2013 to 2015, 3rd Grade from 2016 to 2017, and 1st Grade from 2017 to 2019. She is very anxious and excited for what this wonderful school year may bring! "To teach is to touch lives forever!"
Mrs. Evans loves to spend time with her family, read, shop, cook, bowl, and play volleyball in her spare time. She also has a love for art. She often draws and creates numerous crafts. She loves to teach and she always makes learning fun and engaging!
Mrs. Evans is married to Marcus and they have two beautiful daughters, Amilya and Malaya.
Mrs. Evans has 2 sisters, 1 brother, 2 nieces, and 2 nephews. She also has 3 dogs named Boss, Lady, and Rocky.
