    Hello and welcome to my web page!

    My goal is to help students become not only historians but also more responsible global citizens. My students may not like history before they come to my class but hopefully every student will leave with a better appreciation for its importance.

    Please feel free to look over my syllabi so that you can better understand what goes on in the classroom.

    Beginning my 26th year of teaching (all in Birmingham City Schools), I have been blessed to be at Ramsay for the last 17.5 years before transferring from another wonderful school, William J. Christian School in Roebuck. In addition to teaching, I am the IB Diploma Programme Coordinator for Birmingham City Schools. 

    I am a proud graduate of UAB. I have a B.A. in Broadcasting Journalism and an M.A. Ed. with a concentration in Comprehensive Social Sciences. I also received a M.A. Ed in Educational Leadership in December 2015.
