The Physical Education Department at W. J. Christian will strive to provide a quality learning experience to all students through the Five Components of Health Related Fitness and Nutrition using My Plate Planner. The H.E.A.L.(Healthy Eating Active Living) program is another teaching tool that students will be introduced to this year. We will also be using the Alabama Physical Fitness Assessment to evaluate each student’s level of fitness. Students will be exposed to various sports, games, activities, and skills that will improve physical fitness, health, cooperation, and reduce stress. Some of the activities we will be covering this year are as follows: Strength Training, Flag Football, Ultimate Frisbee, Volleyball, Muscular Strength, Muscular Endurance, Basketball, Agility Drills, Flexibility, Cardiovascular Endurance, Kick Ball, Jump Roping, Korfball and many others.
