I have been a music teacher in the Birmingham City Schools system since 1997. I am the "music man" at Martha Gaskins, an EXCELLENT elementary school. I teach General Music to all of the students. I also direct the choir and the Orff ensemble involving selected fourth and fifth grade students. Every December, we participate in the All-City Christmas Festival. My experience working with students has been challenging, yet rewarding over the years. I have enjoyed preparing students for future musical endeavors, as well as life. I look forward to continuing to make a positive difference in the lives of the people I meet.
