I am so honored to be a teacher at A.H. Parker High School. I am a proud 1997 graduate of this historical school. This is my 21st year in the teaching profession.
I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education in 2001 from the University of Montevallo. In 2005, I earned a Masters Degree in Reading Specialist from Auburn University Montgomery. In 2009, I earned an Education Specialist Degree in Educational Administrator also from the University of Montevallo. As of 2019, I have obtained certification in Secondary Family Consumer Sciences and Cooperative Education.
I am actively involved in my local, state and national teacher’s associations. I am a member of the Alabama Education Association where I served on the Resolutions and Legislative Commission. I was elected as a state delegate in 2012 to represent in Washington D.C. at the Representative Assembly.
During my personal time, I enjoy traveling with family and reading. I also enjoy doing service projects with my sorority, Delta Sigma Theta, Incorporated.
I reside in Helena, Alabama with my husband, Eric, and my four sons, Devin, Darion, Dylan and Deion.
