My name is Amy Jones and I am a Special Education Teacher. I have been a teacher here at Sun Valley Elementary for the past fifteen years. Prior to teaching at Sun Valley, I taught 1^st grade for three years.

When I was in elementary school I attended Saint James Major Catholic School, in Prichard, AL. I had amazing teachers, and my principal was Sister Shelia. I made many lasting memories in elementary school!

I graduated from John L. Leflore Magnet High School of Communications and Arts. Then, I was off to Troy State University, in Troy, AL, where I received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. I decided Birmingham, AL was where I wanted to begin teaching. I have a Master's Degree from Grand Canyon University in Elementary Education.

When I am not here at Sun Valley Elementary, I enjoy reading with my son. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends.
