Hello, my name is Dr. Curtrina Jones. I taught third grade for 7 years and am now the ARI Coach. I have been married for 21 years and have three children, a set of twins, Kailah and Kaiden, and a current Miles College student, Kristian. This is currently my thirteenth year at Glen Iris. I love being an educator. I believe in the education of the whole child. I believe in hands on learning and teaching. Students should always be involved in inquiry based learning activities and be challenged to reach their full potential. As a Reading Specialist, I provide leadership for school-, district-, and state level reading programs. I design, monitor, and assess reading achievement progress, Also, I provide professional development and coaching for teachers and building personnel and am responsible for assisting with improving reading achievement of the students we service. I am certified and trained in all ARI modules, Orton Gillingham, and LETRS. Please feel free to contact me with any questions regarding how to best support your child with becoming a successful reader.
