Jacques Churchill
This will be my eighth year teaching Special Education and fifth year at W. J. Christian K-8. I will be your Special Education Teacher for grades K, 1st, 2nd, and 4th.
I am an Army Brat who was born in Germany and have lived in many different places. My favorite city is Mobile, Al because it is close to the beach and the celebration of Mardi Gras. I am the oldest of five girls. My husband and I recently welcomed a baby boy to our family of three. I have enjoyed being able to spend time with him.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Special Education. I decided to teach Special Education because I have a sister who has Down Syndrome. I love teaching students with special needs and look forward to a great 20-21 school year.
Mrs. Jaquita Johnson
Hello, my name is Mrs. Bobbs Johnson. I have been teaching a total of 15 years. I taught elementary grades 3-5 for 10 years and this will be my 5th year teaching special education. This school year I will be the case manager for grades 3, 5, 6th, 7th, and 8th.
I am originally from Birmingham, Alabama and a product of Birmingham City Schools. I received my undergraduate degree from Miles College (Go Bears) in early childhood/elementary education. I received my masters degree and ED.S from the University of West Alabama in Collaborative Special Education. I am currently pursuing my certification in Educational Leadership.
This year I am looking forward to working collaboratively with the parents and teachers to enhance the education of each and every student that I work with directly and indirectly. I have a passion for what I do and I desire that my students have a passion for learning, both now and in the future. I am confident that this school year will be excellent and unlike any other. I look forward to working with each of you!
