We Are Getting IN TUNE!!!

Hello all! I am Mr. Long and I am the new band director here at Norwood Elementary School. I am VERY excited to become a part of this great Norwood Tiger family for the 2018-2019 school year. Here in this section, you can learn all about me!

I am a Fall 2016 graduate of Alabama State University, where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumental Music Education with a concentration in Trombone. During my tenure at ASU, I was a member of the University Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band, the ASU Jazz Band, the ASU Trombone Choir, various brass ensembles, and the world famous Mighty Marching Hornet Band. I am a member of various professonal musical organizations such as NAfME, AMEA, ABA, as well as Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America.
