Instructions for the First Day of School

Mr. Michal is a Graduate of the University of North Alabama where he earned a Bachelors in Music Education.  He has been a performer for 15 years and a teacher for 10.  The courses Mr. Michal teaches at Ramsay include String Orchestra and Instrumental Music.   Private lessons for percussion, strings, or several other instruments are also available.  

 If a student should be quarantine and/or virtually learning please contact Mr. Michal at nmichal@bhm.k12.al.us to gather alternate assignments while not on campus.

Required Classroom Materials:

1 3-ring binder (1/2 inch recommended) 

Clear, binder-compatible sheet protectors

Pencils (NOT pen!)

***ORCHESTRA INFO***

Instruments and music are provided. However, students who have his/her own instrument are welcomed and encouraged to bring it.

There is an instrument rental/ maintenance fee for all students using a school-owned instrument.  This fee goes to buying new instruments, strings, bows, music, music stands, gas for bus trips, and various other expenses we will encounter during the year.  

Additionally, Orchestra students are responsible for their concert attire, which is outlined in the syllabus.
