Ms. Danyell S. Butler, Ed.S
Ms. Butler is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. She matriculated through Birmingham City Schools and is a proud graduate of P.D. Jackson-Olin High School. After graduation, she attended Alabama A&M University where she obtained her B.A. degree in Telecommunications. In addition, she received several post-secondary degrees from the following institutions: Alabama State University, M.Ed Secondary Education (English/Language Arts); University of West Alabama, M.Ed Instructional Leadership; and University of Alabama at Birmingham, Ed.S Instructional Leadership.
Her teaching career path in education began in August of 2006 when she was appointed as the sixth grade English/Language Arts teacher at Hudson K-Eight School. In addition to her tenue at Hudson K-Eight, she was also blessed to serve the administration and students as a teacher and/or instructional coach at the following Birmingham City Schools: G.W. Carver High School, P. D. Jackson-Olin High School, W.J. Christian K-Eight School, Tuggle Elementary School, and Oliver Elementary School. These years provided many experiences in the following areas: classroom teacher, reading coach, curriculum writer, and assistant principal which she feels will be valuable in ensuring that she is able to meet the needs of all stakeholders of Huffman Academy.
Ms. Butler is the mother of two boys and an active supporter of the WJO Alumni Association and Alabama A&M University Marching Maroon and White Band Boosters Association.
