Ms. Keely Watts

Greetings parents and students! My name is Keely Watts and I have been a math teacher for 22 years. I started teaching math, at Jess Lanier High School, Bessemer, AL, in August of 1998. I remained there until May of 2017.  The following school year I taught at New Horizon Alternative School for one school year, also apart of Bessemer School District.  I decided it was time for a change and after 20 years in the Bessemer School District, I started my teaching career with Birmingham Board of Education, August of 2018. I was excited because I am a product of Birmingham City School District (Wilkerson Elementary School and A. H. Parker High School)!!  My first year in the district, I taught at G. W. Carver High School. I then decided it was time for a complete change.  So here I am, a math teacher at Hudson K8, where I currently teach 7th grade Pre-Algebra! I am very pleased to be here and so excited to work with a great group of Administratrs, Educators, and students! I also have one son, Thornton T. Miller, Jr. (TJ) and I am a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated (Spring 95).
