Grandest greetings "Ram Fam" & Welcome to the Hilltop!  I'd like to wish everyone a great 2023-24 school year.  I am in year 5 at RIBHS and I am blessed to be a part of something very special here.  I encourage each of you to stay hopeful, faithful and ever-positive as we continue to embark on another unique journey through this school year!  Although we are in-person, I will continue to utilize Schoology as a great resource for instruction.  Please don't hesitate to reach out to me should you have any questions.  My email address is

The 2019-20 school year was my first year in BCS at the esteemed Ramsay IB High School.  I joined the Ramsay family after spending three years at Thompson High School and prior to that, seven years in the Homewood City Schools District, and 11 years on the collegiate level as an instructor and basketball coach.   I currently serve as the Driver & Traffic Safety Education Instructor, Health Education Instuctor, and Head Women’s Basketball Coach.  The 23-24 school year marks my 20th year in education.  I've taught Life Skills and Physical Education on the middle school level, Physical Education, Health and Driver Education during my tenure as a high school educator.  I graduated Cum Laude in 1998 with a BS in Sports Management/Athletic Administration from Hampton University and earned a 4.0 in master's level coursework in Sport Psychology & Sociology from Howard University.  I earned an Athlete Management Certificate from Sports Management Worldwide (Portland, Oregon) in 2010, and received my MATL in Technology Integration from the Fischler School of Education and Human Services at Nova Southeastern University in 2011.

My husband Steve, (Head Boy’s basketball coach at Huffman High School), and I have an amazing-soccer playing, 15 year old daughter.  My favorite teams are my Hampton University Lady Pirates WBB, Duke MBB (Go Bluedevils!), NY Yankees, Washington Redskins (HTTR!), VA Tech Football (Go Hokies!), and now as an Alabama resident I enjoy Crimson Tide Football (RTR!).  Last, but certainly not least, I am a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
