I am a 5th grade math teacher at Oliver Elementary where the lions “roar with pride.” I have been in education a total of 20 years with 14 years dedicated to teaching. My aspiration has always been to teach math. As a child number sense came naturally, and my passion to teach manifested as my ultimate career choice.
My teaching style is very charismatic. I teach with passion, motivation and sincerity. In my class, We TWIRL (Talk, Write, Investigate, Read, and Listen) all while laughing, learning, thinking, trying and applying.
My teaching motto is “you are what you think and you shall have what you say” As educators, if we can get our students to buy into “growth mindset” half of the battle would be won. “Believing” is powerful!!! My challenge is helping my students to “BELIEVE!”
