Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Ternikolas Ramirez
It is an honor and privilege to serve as your S.T.E.A.M Technology teacher. Here at Oliver Elementary School I plan to create a STEAM Program that creates future leaders who are passionate about making a positive contribution to their local and global communities that’s centered on the integration of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. This program will serve as the liaison to intertwine core subjects. It is my ultimate goal to develop a growth mindset about STEAM that will foster a culture for learning.I have always been passionate, driven, and excited about teaching and love what I do. I will accomplish this by expanding the children’s horizon as it relates to STEAM. As your child teacher, I will create relevant activities as well as hands-on experience for students. My biggest goal is to develop leadership skills in each student and a thorough understanding of democracy, citizenship, and civic responsibility.
What Does Technology in the Classroom Mean?
Fluency in the three R’s – reading, ‘riting, and ‘rithmetic – is still primary but they have now added a D – for digital fluency. We can define technology broadly as any “tool” a teacher uses to convey the lesson or interact with students.
