Mr. Brandon Hatcher - Collaborative Special Education

About me

I am a native of Birmingham. Born at Cooper Green Hospital. I come from a long line of hard workers, and I’m actually the first in my family to attend college. I am married and live in Pinson, AL with my spouse and two dogs. I am most thankful in life for my Mama; she’s my hero and was a single parent who worked over 70 hours a week to support me and my twin brothers. If it were not for her sacrifices, guidance, and love, I would not be where I am today.

Experience in Education
I am currently entering my fifth year of teaching. Before becoming a Collaborative Teacher, I taught middle school English/Language Arts, drove a school bus, coached, and supervised the school yearbook staff during my first two years in education. Then, I found myself teaching high school AP and IB Language & Literature for the following two years. My passion is driving equitable educational practices that allow space for all students to be the best learners possible.
