Mrs. Kristin Cox

Hello! My name is Mrs. Kristin Cox. This is my seventeenth year of teaching in public schools. I taught for fifteen years in the Jefferson County School System. In 2019, I returned home to my esteemed alma mater, A.H. Parker High School, to teach English language arts.

I obtained my bachelor's degree in English language arts at Talladega College. While at Talladega, I pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. My sorority promotes service to all mankind, so I try to model that in and outside of my classroom. In addition, I earned two degrees from Jacksonville State University. One is a master's in English language arts, and the other is an Ed.s. in English language arts. Finally, I acquired another master's degree, in Educational Leadership at Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University.

As you can see, I am an ongoing learner. I enjoy teaching, and I have high expectations for each and every one of my students as it pertains to academic attainment. However, most of all, I care about my students' overall well-being.
