Welcome Back Students and Parents of Malachi Wilkerson Middle School,

I am Ms. Denicia Towns your student's favorite 7th Grade Science Teacher!  It is an honor to educate our scholars this school year and broaden their knowledge in the subject of Life Science.  I have a lot of exciting things to teach them about science and careers in STEM.

I am a 1999 Midfield High graduate and 2004 Alumna of the Illustrious Tuskegee University "The Pride of the Swift Growing South", in which I received a B.S. Biology.  Upon my completion, I entered into the career path of pharmacy and worked in that field until 2018.  During my career in Pharmacy, I also served as an adjunct instructor at Virginia College at Birmingham from 2012-2018.  I received my M.Ed. in Career and Technical Education in 2019 from Concordia University-Portland.

I proudly serve as the cheer coach for the Wilkerson Middle School Bison Cheer squad and plan to begin a Science Club for this upcoming school year as well as build a greenhouse and plant a school garden.  I look forward to meeting the educational needs of your scholars and working with you this year!
