Students from Parker High School, Vestavia Hills High School, and the Trak Shack worked diligently on Sunday to transform Parker High School’s gymnasium into a warming shelter for those in need throughout the city of Birmingham.
The city of Birmingham will host a warming station at Parker High School through Monday night. The extra site comes as temperatures are expected to drop as low as 20 degrees over the course of the next two days. The station opens promptly at 5 PM for those in need.
Donations are greatly appreciated and there is currently a need for washable blankets in a size Twin or larger.
