The staff at Parker High School will begin a series for students that will take place on the last Wednesday of each month. This month, the brothers of Omega Psi Phi, Fraternity, Inc. along with Brian Sims, MD, Ph.D. and female staff members at Parker will kick off the series on August 28, 2019. Principal Darrell Hudson has chosen to host this series each month during students' Advisory period.
He hopes that this series will build school morale and give students and staff an opportunity to discuss the various issues that affect students. His philosophy remains steadfast. Research has proven that when students build positive relationships with their teachers and community stakeholders, their chances of achieving positive outcomes increases.
Brian Sims, MD, Ph.D.
and the brothers of Omega Psi Phi will speak with the boys at Parker High School about the 4 cardinal principles of the Omega Psi Phi brotherhood-manhood, scholarship, perseverance, and uplift. While several female staff at the school have volunteered to talk with the girls about hygiene and school/professional etiquette.
A modeling of school appropriate attire will also take place, as the school dress code has changed within the last year.
