Wilkerson Middle School honored 11 pillars of the community at the 4th Annual Unsung Hero Program/Luncheon on January 25, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. as a prelude to Black History Month. The program was amazing and all who participated did an excellent job, including our student ambassadors, drama students, band students, faculty and staff, the Wenonah Culinary Department, the Carlton Reese Memorial Unity Choir, and the many distinguished guests who brought greetings. Our student body had the honor of attending the program and they are to be commended for their excellent behavior and good attention. Our principal, Mrs. Davida Hill Johnson, did an excellent job planning the program. She spent many hours coordinating the event and her hard work was evident. Great job, Mrs. Johnson!
Our theme was: "Unsung Heroes in Pursuit of Human Civil Rights."
Wilkerson was proud to honor individuals who serve as role models, change agents, motivators, and contribute to enhance the communities at large in a positive manner.
