A.H. Parker High School’s Darrell Hudson named CLAS District 5 Principal of the Year

darrell hudson The Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools (CLAS) named A.H. Parker High School’s Darrell Hudson as the District 5 High School Principal of the Year.

As principal, Hudson is dedicated to ensuring scholars are prepared for success in college, careers and life.

“Mr. Hudson’s selection as District 5 Principal of the Year is a testament to his commitment to see every child succeed,” said Dr. Lisa Herring, superintendent of Birmingham City Schools. “Our system is proud to have such an exceptional educator among our ranks, and we, too, salute Mr. Hudson for his exemplary leadership.”

He received the honor at the 2018 AASSP/AAMSP Fall Conference earlier in November.

Hudson also serves as chairman of the Alabama State University Board of Trustees. Prior to arriving at Parker in 2013, he previously served as principal of Birmingham City Schools’ George Washington Carver High and Bertram A. Hudson K-8.
