The NSBE Jr. Engineering students truly shined! Our students teamed up with professors at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and students across the district for an exciting day of thought‑provoking engineering — and they rose to the challenge!
In this immersive, hands-on experience, our scholars used engineering practices to develop innovative wheelchair designs featuring customizable accommodations. The campaign was to use engineering to support individuals with disabilities and empower those with limited mobility. Watching them brainstorm, build, and problem‑solve with such creativity, empathy, and determination was nothing short of inspiring!
