AHSAA Outdoor Track and Field State Meet

All seven Birmingham City Schools high schools were represented at the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) Outdoor Track and Field State Meet, with many scholar-athletes coming out on top in their events.

Carver led the way with four medals in 5A track events, including first and third-place finishes by Dmitri Howard, a first place finish by Kamya Jackson, and a gold medal in the boys 4x100 relay. Ramsay also medaled, finishing third in the boys 4x400m relay.

In 6A, Huffman’s Jeremiah Franklin medaled in three events, winning two golds and a silver. Jackson-Olin’s Kaius Stewart collected two medals, including a first place finish and a runner-up (to Franklin). Woodlawn boys also finished first in the 4x100m relay and third in the 4x400m relay, while Jackson-Olin boys finished second in the 4x400m relay.
