Last night, the Birmingham Board of Education recognized Oxmoor Valley Elementary's Tamra Ishman, the district's Librarian of the Year!

In addition, the board presented the Birmingham Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc., including Oxmoor Valley Principal Dr. Melvin Love and BCS Instructional Superintendent Dr. Craig Witherspoon, with the Power of Partnership Award! Fraternity members read to Oxmoor Valley scholars in January for its National Day of Reading initiative.
