We are proud to announce that Mrs. Stokes is the 2026-2027 G.W. Carver Teacher of the Year!

Mrs. Stokes has transformed our library into a true 21st-century learning hub, inspiring a love of reading while creating opportunities for our Rams to connect, discover new interests, and grow. From providing a space to unwind after a tough day and introducing students to their next favorite book to co-teaching lessons, facilitating engaging workshops, leading clubs and programs, and coaching our Esports team, she makes the library a place where every student belongs.

Thank you, Mrs. Stokes, for creating a space where our students feel safe, supported, and inspired. ❤️💙📚

Here's what's happening next week at G.W. Carver High School. See you tomorrow, Rams!

Intersession Week is flying by! Our Rams are taking advantage of this time to get extra help as we close out the first 9 weeks.

Yesterday, we celebrated the commitment coaches across the country pour into their students. We’re especially grateful for our amazing G.W. Carver coaches, who are always there to support us, hold us accountable, and inspire us to be our best. ❤️💙 #ExcellenceIsTheStandard #RamUp

We may have missed National Custodian Day on Friday, but we couldn’t let the opportunity pass without recognizing our incredible Carver custodial team! ❤️💙

Every day, this team works behind the scenes to keep more than 200,000 square feet of our school clean, safe, and ready for our Rams. Their hard work often happens before many of us arrive and continues long after the school day is underway.

We were happy to treat our team to breakfast on Friday, but today we want to give them a public THANK YOU for all they do for G.W. Carver High School! ❤️💙

Due to anticipated rain, Carver High School’s football game against Oak Grove, originally scheduled for Friday, October 2, 2026, has been moved to Thursday, October 1, 2026.

🎭 26 G.W. Carver High School students had the incredible opportunity to experience Hamilton the musical! For many of our Rams, this was their very first Broadway show—an experience they won’t soon forget.

A huge thank you to Staging the Future for generously donating the tickets and giving our students the opportunity to experience this spectacular production! ❤️💙

This week at G.W. Carver High School!

#ThrowbackThursday to learning about organ systems, body planes, and directional terms as they apply to the human body in Mrs. Miles’s Anatomy and Physiology class through rat dissections! 🧠🔬

District Attorney Danny Carr visited Carver High School to speak with Mrs. Miles’s Forensic students and Officer Dansby’s Law Enforcement students. D.A. Danny Carr shared valuable insights about pursuing justice. The students listened attentively as he explained complex concepts of the judicial system and his role as a district attorney. This provided a unique opportunity for our students to interact and ask questions about the intricacies of the judicial system and the importance of forensic science in solving cases. Thank you, District Attorney Carr, for sharing your experiences with our students!
