Today, 11th grade students from Mrs. Steele's, Ms. Johnson's, and Mrs. Wood's classes had a wonderful experience visiting Sloss Furnaces and Vulcan Park & Museum! They learned about Birmingham's history in steel production and even got hands-on by creating art with iron. It was a great way to connect our city’s past with hands-on learning!

Yesterday, Mrs. Cochran proudly took two of her talented orchestra students, Cayla Tarbert and Jersey Smith, to perform at Carver alumni Destiny McCoy’s Bridgerton-themed event. Cayla and Jersey, both 10th graders, have been working with Mrs. Cochran since 7th grade, and they absolutely wowed the audience with classical covers of "Can’t Help Falling in Love," "Perfect," and "A Thousand Years." 🎻🎶 Mrs. Cochran and the orchestra program are incredibly grateful for Ms. McCoy's generous monetary donation to support the orchestra and for the opportunity to showcase our students' talent in the community. #ExcellenceistheStandard #SuccessStartsHere #SupportingTheArts
