During today’s regularly scheduled board meeting, Jefferson County Commissioner Lashunda Scales presented a check for $10,000 to Huffman High School for its Academy of Architecture and Construction.
Commissioner Scales commended the academy for its efforts in restoring Huffman Park on Red Lane Road.
Joining Commissioner Scales for the ceremonial check presentation were Birmingham Board of Education District 1 Representative Neonta Williams, Huffman High School Academy of Architecture and Construction instructor Jacques Dean and students Robert Horton, John Banks, Darren Alexander, and Birmingham City Schools Superintendent Dr. Mark Sullivan.
