Did you know that September is both Attendance Awareness Month and the start of Hispanic Heritage Month?
Our rockstar Principal Lawson starts every morning with one grade level and checks on their well-being, as well as giving them a mini-lesson! Today's lesson was singing a Good Morning call and response song in Spanish. It is super important for students to arrive to school on time to not miss this special moment with their favorite school leader!
Fall Intersession provides learning opportunities for every scholar at every grade level.
With focused instruction, scholars can improve their skills. Enrichment activities introduce scholars to areas of study they normally would not have access to. ACT and ACAP prep courses are also available.

Barrett Elementary is proud to host our end of the month food box give away this afternoon! Starting at 2:30 and available to the first 50 cars!
A few friendly reminders for our families before school starts tomorrow:
1) The school doors open at 7:30 A.M., and so does our cafeteria! We welcome all of our students to start the day off strong with a healthy breakfast.
2) School dismisses at 3:00 P.M., and students will be brought outside by their teachers.
3) Students must be picked up no later than 3:15 P.M., this helps us ensure the safety of everyone at the school. If you realize you are running late for any reason, please communicate with your student's teacher and the front office.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone bright and early tomorrow to kick off a truly amazing school year!

Student registration for the 2026-2027 School Year is open! Registration help is available at the school Monday-Thursday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Snap Codes are no longer valid. Parents MUST register using the Parent Portal. Please call the school at 205-231-8130 if you have any issues accessing your child's account . Please register early to beat the crowd and lengthy registration process during the first week of school.
