On Thursday, we had very productive meetings with our seniors’ parents. We covered everything from the Senior Academic Checklist and the three Es—enrollment, enlistment, and employment—with Counselor Brownlee, senior activities with our senior class president and SGA president, the Birmingham Promise Scholarship, and cap and gown and graduation purchases. Today our Carver Rams visited the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute to honor the anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. They explored the stories of local leaders and the powerful role Birmingham played in the civil rights movement.
