Welcome to the Professional Development Department of Birmingham City Schools. We aim to provide employees with learning opportunities throughout their careers in hopes of improving overall success.

The Birmingham City Schools Professional Development Department is excited to continue supporting the growth and success of our newest educators through the BCS New Teacher Induction Program.

In partnership with the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) and various Birmingham City Schools departments, we have developed a series of professional learning opportunities specifically designed to support teachers with 0–2 years of teaching experience.

All sessions will be held from 3:30–4:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Professional Development Center, 901 9th Avenue North, Birmingham, AL 35204. View the series in Events for more details on upcoming sessions.
