J.H. Phillips Academy has earned the School of Distinction Award from the A+ Education Partnership.
The school has exceeded its A+ College Ready student growth for two years while participating in the grant program. The organization had previously awarded Phillips with the School of Excellence designation for meeting its goal two of the three years while in the program.
“This recognition is a tribute to the hard work of school leaders, teachers, and students,” said Tammy Dunn, Vice President of Academic Affairs at A+ Education Partnership.
The organization will briefly recognize all middle schools that met or exceeded academic goals during its Leadership Institute on June 2. Formal recognition will follow next fall at an ALSDE meeting.
