Huffman High School has named Darrel LeBeaux as the new Head Football Coach of the Vikings football program. The Birmingham Board of Education approved the hire during its regularly scheduled board meeting on January 13.
Coach LeBeaux comes to Huffman after serving as Offensive Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach at Hoover High School, where he helped strengthen and sustain one of Alabama’s most respected and successful football programs. He previously served as Head Coach at Pleasant Grove High School, where he compiled a 75-16 record, leading the team to two region titles and three consecutive state title game appearances (2019-2021).
Recognized for his offensive leadership, commitment to player development, and ability to build a winning culture, LeBeaux brings a championship mindset and a clear vision for long-term success.
“We are excited to welcome Coach LeBeaux and his family to Huffman,” said Steve Ward, Athletic Director. “His experience, leadership, and passion for developing student-athletes make him the right leader to guide our program forward.”
