A.H. Parker High School hosted the “Unplugged & Uninfluenced” roundtable discussion today to create a safe and honest space where young people and community leaders can openly discuss the realities of drug usage and abuse without judgment or outside pressure.
The intent of “Unplugged & Uninfluenced” was to raise awareness about how influences like peer pressure, social media, and everyday environments impact youth decisions, while encouraging individuals to think independently and make healthier choices.
The event also focused on building understanding, promoting prevention, and strengthening connections between youth and leaders so they can work together to support positive lifestyles and reduce substance abuse in schools and the community.
