Barrett Elementary School officially opened an innovation lab made possible by a generous donation from the American Conference.

The school, along with board members and district leaders and representatives from the American Conference and School Specialty, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new space today.

The American Conference donated $50,000 to outfit the space with a dozen desktop computer stations, new furniture, and a Juicebot by Muzo, a portable wireless speaker that can also translate up to 50 languages.

In addition, conference representatives represented first-grade teacher Jennifer Pope with a check for $1000 to purchase supplies for her class.
