During Monday's Custodial Professional Development Day at the Lincoln Center, our team heard presentations from HD Supply (Home Depot) on proper cleaning methods, EAP on stress and our BCS Safety Team on safety from the lens of the custodian. At Arrington Elementary School, it's also the last day for Principal Bruce Roper, who is retiring. Principal Roper goes out on a high note, having landed the school among the top 25 most improved schools in the state!
At the beginning of the school year, the eighth graders of Inglenook K-8 School wouldn't have expected they would be finishing the school year at Hudson K-8 School. After a storm caused extensive damage to their school, these scholars finished out the school year in unfamiliar surroundings.
However, after overcoming adversity, these middle schoolers are now officially moving on to high school! 🎉

To conclude Mental Health Awareness Month, our Peer Helpers in grades 3–5 participated in a poster contest designed to promote positive social-emotional well-being. Students from Huffman Academy, Phillips Academy, Hemphill Elementary, Hayes K-8, and Barrett Elementary proudly participated, showcasing both their creativity and their understanding of the importance of mental wellness.
