Birmingham City Schools received its highest grade ever on the recently released annual Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) Report Card. This achievement reduced the number of schools with an “F” letter grade to one for the first time since the state began issuing the report.
While a grade of 77 and the significant reduction in the number of failing schools represent growth in the district, educators and leaders are committed to continuing the positive trend while working to ensure that every student achieves the optimum level of success.
